Botiquito Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026
Botiquito ("the app", "we") is an app that helps families manage their children's medication, health, and care. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
Botiquito is meant to be used by the adults responsible for a child (parents, guardians) — it isn't designed for a child to use directly, and we don't collect information directly from minors.
1. What we collect
Account information
- Email and password, or the basic details (identifier, email and name) that Google or Apple give us if you choose to sign in with them.
- The display name you choose.
Information you enter about your family
- Your child's name, birth date and sex (sex is optional and used only to calculate growth percentiles) and, if you want, their national ID number (DNI).
- Medications, doses, schedules, and dose history.
- Vaccines, pediatric checkups, doctor visits, and related notes.
- Fever, weight, height, and head circumference records.
- Allergies, chronic conditions, blood type, health insurance provider and member number, and emergency contacts, if you choose to add them.
- Medical studies and documents (lab results, images, reports, prescriptions, certificates) as PDFs or photos.
- Name, phone, email, address, and office hours for doctors you add to your directory.
- Photos you upload (e.g. your child's picture, the vaccination card or visit attachments).
Technical information
- App usage data (analytics) to understand which features get used and catch bugs (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics).
- Push notification tokens, so we can alert you about doses and reminders.
- A device and installation identifier (Firebase) and error and performance data (Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring).
Device information the app reads only when you ask it to
- Contacts: only to pick a doctor's phone number when you add one. Your address book is not uploaded: only the value you pick is saved.
- Camera and photo library: to attach photos and documents.
- Calendar: to add a visit reminder, if you ask for it.
The app does not use your location and does not track you across other companies' apps and websites.
2. How we use this information
- To make the app work: medication reminders, history shared between caregivers, upcoming-dose calculations, vaccine and checkup schedules.
- To sync information between the caregivers you invite to your family.
- To send you notifications about your child's health (doses, upcoming vaccines, low stock).
- To diagnose technical issues and improve the app.
- To process your subscription, if you're on the paid plan (via RevenueCat).
- To show, only if you ask for it, a read-only copy of your child's data to someone you choose (see "Sharing" below).
We don't sell your information or your family's information to anyone. We don't use your health data for advertising.
3. Where your information is stored
All information is stored on Google Firebase servers (Firestore, Storage), which may be located outside Argentina (for example, in the United States), protected by security rules that restrict access to only the members of your family that you've invited. Subscriptions are processed through RevenueCat.
4. Who we share information with
- Firebase / Google Cloud: the infrastructure that stores your data.
- RevenueCat: manages paid subscriptions (receives purchase information, not your medical history).
- Google (Places): if you search for a doctor's address, the text you type is sent to Google to complete the search.
- Google and Apple: only if you choose to sign in with them.
- The other caregivers you invite to your family (parent/guardian, caregiver or school/babysitter role) see the information relevant to their role.
We don't share your information with advertisers or use it for targeted advertising.
Sharing with other people (always your decision)
- Online report: you can create a temporary, password-protected link so a pediatrician can view a read-only copy of a report in a browser. You can revoke it at any time. The report data is served from our servers only to whoever has the link and the password, and photos are signed for a few minutes only.
- Sharing profile details: you can send a text with the details of your child that you choose through WhatsApp, email or another app. Before it is sent you see exactly what will be shared; the ID number, health insurance and date of birth are never pre-selected. What you send stays in the app you choose, outside our control.
- Documents: you can share a file with another app; it is shared without its original file name.
5. Your rights
- You can edit or delete anything you've entered, directly from the app.
- You can delete your entire account from Settings → Delete account. This removes your account and, if you're the sole person responsible for your family, all associated data (children, medications, history, etc.) permanently.
- If you are the owner of a family with other members, you'll need to remove them first before you can delete your account. If you are a Parent/Guardian or another invited member, deleting your account only removes you from the family: the family's data stays with the owner.
- If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes the Apple authorization.
- You have the rights of access, rectification and deletion of your personal data (Argentine Personal Data Protection Law 25,326). The Agency for Access to Public Information is the supervisory authority under that law.
- You can email us at soporte@filgueira.dev to request a copy of your information or its manual deletion.
6. Children
Any health information about a child that's entered into Botiquito is entered and controlled by the responsible adult on the account. We don't collect information directly from minors, and the app isn't designed for children to use unsupervised.
7. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll let you know inside the app.
